Humility is confusing nowadays because of all of the false humility out there. We’ve all met those people who do something really cool. And you say, “Wow. That was really cool!” And they puff up with pride and say “Well I could have done better.” That is not humility.
Humility is knowing your strengths come from God. Not, “Wow. That was really cool!” And puff up with pride and say “Well I could have done better.” But “Wow. That was really cool!” And they smile and say, “Yeah, God is awesome! He gave me the talent and the courage to practice to be able to do this. God is awesome!” How many times have you heard that?
Humility is knowing that you have to hand over your weaknesses to God. You can’t fix anything on your own so you have to acknowledge that. Strength or weakness both are something that concerns our turning towards God, knowing that we can do nothing without Him – and be okay with that. That is Humility.
Peace be with you.
