Miles 820 – 825

Hey guys, welcome to Following Him!

You were taken aback by Jesus reaction to the shopkeepers in the Temple but you secretly wish you’d done something too.  How many times had you told yourself that those vendors were getting too close to the temple grounds?  Not to mention them taking advantage of the people, selling things at more than they should because the people had to have them to sacrifice. Like that dove seller who was selling doves for four times their worth and making the poor people feel like they were cheating God if they didn’t pay for “the best”.  You are glad He kicked them out!  Then again, you can’t help but think that maybe God doesn’t want things.  Maybe something is changing.  Maybe, just maybe, God wants communion with you as Jesus keeps saying.  Although, you still don’t understand how He could raise the Temple of God in three days. But you wouldn’t doubt that He could.  For some reason it is sticking in your head about His baptism.  What did that have to do with the Temple?  It is like His rising out of the water made Him the real temple… no, that’s not it.  In His rising… Made Him the real pathway to communion with God?  Now, you are being silly.  You have no idea but it means something.  Maybe it will come to you later.

Enjoy your walk.

Peace be with you.
