There is a certain harmony in Creation and Redemption. There is almost a music to it. It is a beat, like a heartbeat. Creation is an essential part of our redemption. God made Creation. Why? Out of love. He loved us even before He made us. That is why. His love was so great that He made all of Creation for us so that we could be redeemed. He loved us and wanted us to be His Children but He also knew that we would fall. Knowing that we would fall, He made a way to save us. To save us He died and rose again. We know this. We learn from it. Our souls come down into Creation to learn this so that we can understand the Grace we are given. So that we can be the Children He always knew we could be. Creation didn’t just make creation first – it is ongoing! Just look out the window! It is ongoing just as our Redemption is not a once upon a time, a long time ago. It is now! It is ongoing! Jesus died for our sins thousands of years ago – and continues to reach out to help us every moment of our lives.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.” – John 3:16 – 17
Creation and Redemption seem like two distinct things but when it comes right down to it – These two concepts are so closely linked, that it is hard to talk about one without the other. God made Creation to Redeem us!
Peace be with you.
