Last time we discussed what love was. Now for the more elusive, what is hate? We will only be talking about people to people relationships here as we did with love. Just like people think that they know what love is and then come to find that what they are calling love is not love at all, we find the same thing with hate.
People think that hate is anger at a person. Just this furious rage at a person or group of people. It’s a little more and a little less than that. Hate is the denial of someone else’s personhood. It is denial of their soul.
People have occasionally said, “I hate you.” But what they are really saying is, “You are no longer a living soul to me, therefore I am justified in treating you any nasty way I feel like.” Now, we all get angry with one another from time to time. But to hate? It is not a mere emotion. It is not the work of a second. Hate is a blind, soul crushing, God denying insidious mindset.
It is unchecked feminists that say, “Men are oppressors! Men are worthless! Women are stronger than men! Governments should enact laws to protect women from men!”
It is the religious extremists that say, “Everyone who doesn’t believe the way I believe are nothing and should die!”
It is the pro-abortionists that say, “It’s not a baby, just a fetus, a conglomeration of cells! If you don’t agree you are a religious fascist!”
It is the LGBTP community that says, “Straight white men are all pigs! If you don’t agree you are a racist!”
It is the society that says, “There is no God and you are nothing but an animal.”
So what does a loving person do? What does a Christian do? Continue to lovingly speak the truth, knowing that these people are loved by God just as you are.
Tell the unchecked feminists that says, “Men are oppressors of women!”, to go to the Islamic countries where they truly are oppressors and help. You have all the rights in the world here, they have nothing there. But starting a rally against male oppression with a prayer to Allah and symbolically putting on a hajib (a symbol of female oppression) as a sign of women power? No, this makes no sense. Point it out logically, lovingly and calmly. By the way those of you that thought the above picture was funny, how funny would it be if it was the man hitting the woman? If it’s not good for one, it’s not good for the other.
Tell the religious extremists that says, “Everyone who doesn’t believe the way I believe are nothing and should die!” that God made everyone. To kill someone that God made is a sin in every religion because you are telling God that He made a mistake in making that other person. You are putting yourself above God.
Tell the pro-abortionists that say, “It’s not a baby, just a fetus, a conglomeration of cells! If you don’t agree you are a religious fascist!”, that the definition of fascism is an authoritarian view with no tolerance for any opposing opinions. By making their statement they are acting as fascists. “It’s my body, it’s my decision,” they say but remind them that it is not their body. It’s the baby’s body and they have no more rights over it than they do over us.
Tell the LGBTP community that says, “Straight white men are all pigs! If you don’t agree you are a racist!” that that statement is racist. They are singling out a group to persecute as they say has been done to them. So why was it wrong to persecute them and now it’s okay to persecute someone else.
Tell the society that says, “There is no God and you are nothing but an animal.”, that God is Love and show that love in everything you do and everything you say. Do not act like an animal as we discussed in the post “Animal Sacrifice” but as a loving, caring Child of God.
Peace be with you.
