The Moon is growing brighter by the night! Every night as the Moon grows brighter, we grow more grateful for all that God is, has and will do. All that He will do. That makes you think doesn’t it? Even in situations that we have yet to be in He has already made a way to help us. No matter what massive entanglement we get ourselves into He is already there.
Behold I am with you always. – Matthew 28: 20
That is really comforting. There is a thing called the gift of Fortitude meaning God gives you a strength of will, the will to do what is right. I think this gift is one of the most comforting of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. This gift is best summed up, as far as I am concerned with the quote from Jesus in which he said:
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. – John 14: 27
The gift of Fortitude is really the gift of Peace. If you know, in every fiber of your being, really know that God is there for you, then you are at peace and it is easy to be strong of will. It is easy to say no to what is wrong, because you have no fear. All you have is peace. All you have is Love.
God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. In this love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. – 1 John 4: 16 – 19
Take a breath. Be at peace. Know that God remains in you. Then you have the fortitude to overcome any obstacle set before you. Now, that is a true gift.
Please join me in prayer.
“I come to you, my God, with a grateful heart. Thank You, O Lord for surrounding me with your unconditional Love and Divine Acceptance. Thank You, O Lord for showering me with all your sacred blessings. Please open my heart so that I am truly grateful for all that you have done, are doing and will do, now and forever. I am grateful for the gift of Fortitude. I am grateful to be able to just take a moment and know that you are with me. I am grateful that I have no need to fear. I am grateful for Your Love. For all these things – Thank You, O Lord. Amen.”
Please meditate and listen to God.
Peace be with you.
