Be the Love

Have you ever noticed that people who are very religious aren’t very holy?  Why is it that people espouse many different religions that are based on Love don’t have hearts big enough to love those who do not believe the way that they do?

32If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive back as much. 35But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.  36Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is also merciful.  37Don’t judge, and you won’t be judged. Don’t condemn, and you won’t be condemned. Set free, and you will be set free.” Luke 6: 32 – 37

Be bold, my friend.  Be brave.  Realize that God shows Himself to people in different ways.  It is not for you to judge.  It is not for you to condemn.  It is for you to allow God’s love to show through you.  Be like those brave Christians and Muslims during the Egyptian uprising that as the Christians stood guard while the Muslims prayed and the Muslims stood guard while the Christians prayed.  By our actions we will show what we know in our hearts, not with our words.  Perhaps, just maybe, God doesn’t care how you pray just so long as you do.  He loves you and wants you to be with Him just as He is with you.

Peace be with you.
